Phoebe Tan is Partner at Xora, where amongst other areas, she has a keen interest in working with entrepreneurs who are working on next generation tools, materials, processes and devices that will enable the future of compute and communications.
Phoebe began her deep tech startup journey as a research scientist in the US, and quickly rose through the ranks to take on product development and business development leadership roles. Only seven years into her career, she was promoted into the CEO role at Raynergy Tek, a Taiwan-based advanced semiconductor materials startup. During her seven years as CEO, Phoebe successfully led the commercialization of building-integrated photovoltaics and CMOS image sensor products. She also raised multiple rounds of venture funding, completed major intellectual property acquisitions, and built cross-functional teams.
Prior to her first startup role, Phoebe worked as a research scientist at A*STAR, Singapore’s national labs.
Phoebe earned her PhD from the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Nanyang Technological University.
